Mahalo.

I am so happy in this discovery, and wish everyone to know about Tree Yoga!  I delight in these early days of using the system. Today, with the help of your Training Video, I was able to quickly identify the best trees for the dawn session by the seashore.  The golden light of the dawn played off the spray of the waves making rainbows, which of course, were mostly upside down for me!  When I receive the second and third set, yoga buddies will be blossoming off the monkeypod trees like angel trumpets!

You are offering the world something of great value; always remember this, especially when the going gets tough! (…the tough hang out in the trees! = new ending to the old motto!)

With gratitude,

Alannah

My name is Alexandra, I’m a yoga teacher here in Germany and today my relatives in Florida sent me pix of the treeyoga-session. I’m thrilled to try it on my own and show it to my yoga classes. I’m really enthusiastic! It would be a pleasure to help you promote that great idea here in Germany!

I just bought Lola Riel (my Mom, who is a yoga instructor in St. Croix) a yoga tree kit. I hope it comes with instructions, etc. She is 75+ and I love her dearly, but it’s hard to find something special for her. I saw someone hanging off a tree on the USC horseshoe tonight and took down this website. It is a perfect gift for her; I hope it works on palm trees!

We did Tree Yoga yesterday near the river here in Munich on the beachside of this river. It was fantastic. Pls. ship immediately 10 kits at your wholesale price. I would love to receive them before everybody goes to holiday here because they would love to take them with them.

I have received my fantastic Treeyoga String and I am really glad and at the same time astonished to be the first German to order this incredible tool. I love your DVD - it is very interesting and I smiled and laughed a lot.

I introduced the string to my students today and they were amazed. Since their childhood they did not play on a tree like this. Weather is beautiful and I could go very soon to the “English garden” which is a huge park here in Munich and could do Tree Yoga session with my students.

Best regards from Munich your first TREE YOGA cell in Germany

I was sad that I missed the last TY event, however, I was hanging from the trees in Dripping Springs sharing tree yoga with several of my friends. I am completely hooked! I recently took tree yoga to two family reunions. I had my 60 year old in-laws hanging upside down in the tree! Thank you for bringing this wonderful experience into my life! I LOVE sharing it!

Peace

Greetings from Zimbabwe!

This past weekend, my husband Mark and I joined some friends at Mana Pools National Park for a 5-night safari run by Goliath Safaris and our dear friend Stretch Ferreira. Being in the “bush” is one of of the joys and perks of living and working in this part of Africa.

I took my new TYMS and told our friends that besides tracking lions and African wild dogs, we’d have to find “big trees” so that I could send you pictures.  It was great fun to carry the green backpack with the slings on our safari drives and walks into the deep bush, looking for trees.

Briefly here is how I got into TreeYoga: in late April-early May of every year, Harare hosts the Harare International Festival of the Arts (HIFA).  HIFA is a week-long extravaganza of theater, dance, music, and performance that gives us all a cultural kick once a year in this decaying country.  Some of the performers and acts are of such high quality and stature that we wonder how anyone ever got them to come to Zimbabwe.  This past May, one of the acts was called “A Mid-Summers Night’s Tree” by a German acrobatic and performance group. They had tumblers, aerial acrobats, and a wonderfully talented belly-dancing/singing drag queen, all performing outside under and in a huge tree in a private yard open only for the performance.  I was mesmerized:  I wanted to do the acrobatics AND be outside with the trees, the grass, and the brilliant African sky. Then I saw the article in Yoga Journal about Tree Yoga (May 2008, pg 129-130) and knew this was for me — I’m a yoga practitioner for almost 10 years, a Pilates instructor, and a fearless outdoors fanatic.

Thanks for introducing me to new ways to enjoy the great outdoors!
